Running a competition night each week requires assistance from many of our families to ensure the safety of our athletes and smooth running of the events. To encourage the help required, we charge an $80 Parent Help Levy per family which is refunded to those families who provide the required assistance throughout the season.
To be eligible to have the Parent Help Levy refunded, families are required to accumulate a minimum of 18 points. Where a signifcant number of competition nights are cancelled due to rain, the number of points required will be reviewed for that season. Points can be achieved by any of the following activities (but not limited to):
1 point:
- Age Group Assistant (Friday Night)
- Canteen (Friday Night)
- Ticket Writer (Friday Night)
- Timekeeper (Friday Night)
- Assist with Setting Up (Friday Night)
- Assisting at an event, your child is competing in, at a Regional/State Competition
- Assisting at an event, your child is competing in, at our Twilight Carnival
2 points:
- Assist with Packing Up (Friday Night)
- Running a field event (Friday Night)
- Starting (Friday Night)
- Cleaning and Restocking toilets (Friday Night)
- Assisting at an event, your child is not competing in, at a Regional/State Competition
- Assist with setting up at our Twilight Carnival
- 2 hours of work during our Twilight Carnival (Canteen, Water Distribution, Toilet Restocking)
3 points:
- Minimum 3 hours at a Working Bee
- 1/2 Day (~3-4 hours) at a Fundraising Event
- Team Manager at a Regional/State Competition
- Assist with Packing Up at our Twilight Carnival
4 points:
- Officiating for a day at a Regional/State Competition
- Officiating for the day at our Twilight Carnival
To ensure we are able to accurately record the points achieved, we ask that families record their assistance at the time.
